We are happy to announce an extension of the deadlines for abstract submission

  • A1 - Deadline extension until 5 November 2021 for abstract submission for presenters who apply for an oral presentation AND for publication in a special issue in OENO-One. Authors will be informed  by 1 December whether their article is selected for the special issue. If so, they need to submit their article before 28 February 2022 on the OENO One platform following the requirements of the journal. They need to specify that their article is submitted for the TerClim special issue. The articles will follow the normal reviewing process of the journal.
  • A2 - Deadline extension until 26 november 2021 for abstract submission for presenters who apply for oral presentation AND publication of a 4-6 pages extended abstract in the conference proceedings. These will be published in IVES Conference Series. Extended abstracts are due by 30 April 2022.
  • A3 - Deadline is maintained at 28 February 2022 for poster presenters. Only a one page abstract is required, which will be published in IVES conference Series.

The preferred mode of presentation and symposium session must be clearly identified by the authors during the abstract submission process.

Submissions can be accepted prior to symposium registration, but any accepted abstract will not be included in the final program if at least one of the authors is not registered for the symposium by the registration period deadline.

Prizes will be awarded for the best oral and poster presentation for junior and senior scientists.


How to submit an abstract ?

Abstracts must be submitted exclusively through the online abstract submission form after creating an account. Faxes, emails or other means of submitting abstracts will not be accepted.

Please read carefully the following guidelines before preparing your abstract.

  • Language. The abstracts must be submitted in English.
  • Title. Provide a clear, concise and representative title of the study.
  • Authors. List the authors in the format provided in the abstract template.
  • Presenting author. Clearly indicate in underlined text the author who will be in charge of the presentation, as indicated in the abstract template.
  • Affiliations. Provide reduced affiliations (Department/laboratory, Institution, City, Country) for the authors according to the abstract template. Provide contact email address of the presenting author.
  • Abstract. The length of the abstract should not exceed 300 words, not including the title, list of authors, affiliations and keywords.
  • Keywords. Please provide a list of up to five keywords in alphabetical order. Select the keywords that can help to classify your study.
  • Presentation type. Click in the appropriate box to select preferred presentation type:
        A1- Oral communication + an article in OENO One journal
        A2- Oral communication + an extended abstract on IVES portal
        A3- Poster
  • Topics (list of sessions). Please select from the list a session that best fits your study.
        S1- Soil physical, chemical and microbiological properties and their impact on vine physiology.
        S2- Integrated terroir studies including methodological aspects.
        S3- Smart technologies for terroir studies.
        S4- Sustainability of terroir, landscape related aspects.
        S5- Climate change projections.
        S6- Climate vine interaction including climate change impacts.
        S7- Adaptation to climate change through cultural practices.
        S8- Adaptation to soil and climate through the choice of plant material.
        S9- Global and multidisciplinairy approches for vineyard sustainability.
      S10- Impact of terroir and climate change on wine quality and typicity.
  • Note. If at all required you may add some additional notes or remarks to the convener. Otherwise, just leave this field empty.
  • Filename. Name the abstract file as follows : Session number + Presentation type + Presenting author + Abstract number if more than one submission (e.g. S6-A2-vanLeeuwenC.docx or S6-A2-vanLeeuwenC-2.docx)
