Hans Reiner Schultz is a plant physiologist, agronomist and oenologist, professor of Viticulture at the University of Geisenheim in Germany. President of this University since 2013, he is an expert on the effects of climate on winemaking. He was one of the first scientists to take an interest in the issue of climate change on viticulture and oenology. His skills and professionalism are internationally recognized and he has worked in many wine-growing countries: South Africa, USA, France, before returning to Germany. He is the initiator of several joint training courses between Universities and Grandes Ecoles specializing in Viticulture and Oenology throughout the world.
